The patent application for the “Method for Producing Translucent Concrete Blocks Using Light-Transmitting Materials and Industrial Waste”
We are pleased to announce that the joint research and development efforts of the PEDI Research and Development Team (led by Vice President Nguyen Minh Hai and Development Manager Nguyen Van Huong) and the University of Danang – University of Science and Technology have resulted in a patent application. The patent is titled “Method for Producing Translucent Concrete Blocks Using Light-Transmitting Materials and Industrial Waste” and has been filed under application number 2-2024-00342. This invention involves a method for producing concrete that allows light to pass through while maintaining the same level of strength as conventional concrete. We believe that patent registration represents a significant step toward practical application. We are currently proposing solutions to deploy this new material within Vietnam.
This technological development has been carried out in collaboration with the University of Danang – University of Science and Technology over the past two years, and multiple research papers have been submitted to international journals.
