  • PEDIの研究開発(R&D)チームは、建設材料に関する研究論文を国際学術誌(Q1ランク)に共同発表しました。

The results of the research team, including PEDI’s staff Dr. Nguyen Minh Hai, Dr. Phan Hoang Nam and Dr. Nguyen Van Huong, have been published in an Q1 rank of international journal in Construction Materials area. The study emphasizes the importance of understanding and accurately applying design formulas in standards when calculating practical structural issues. The research indicates that the advancement of material technology is so rapid that sometimes structural design standards cannot be updated in time. On the other hand, new tools like artificial intelligence still seem to not be officially recognized in construction design. Therefore, engineers need solid knowledge to effectively apply design formulas, and need to keep

  • PEDIの研究グループが、自己センシングコンクリートに関する新たな研究論文を国際学術誌に発表しました。

PEDI’s R&D team, leading by Vice Director Nguyen Minh Hai, has published a new paper on international journal “Case Studies of Construction Materials”. This is the second achivement of our research project on developing self-sensing cement-based materials. Our team proposed a formula to predict the resistivity of mortar containing carbon fillers, considering temperature and humidity factors based on over 280 times of measurements. This is an important premise to calibrate the initial values of self-sensing concrete devices, a challenging and promising material for the future, especially in the ongoing digital transformation.
