On January 10, 2026, the I-STAR Research Group held its 2025 annual review ceremony and officially launched the AMAST Lab – Advanced Materials & Structures Laboratory, with the support and partnership of PEDI. This event marked a significant milestone in strengthening research and application capacity in the field of materials and structural engineering. 

AMAST Lab is envisioned as a specialized research center focusing on advanced materials solutions and modern structural technologies. The laboratory is designed not only to support academic research but also to promote practical applications in real-world construction projects. 

With the support of PEDI, AMAST Lab is well-positioned to connect with industry partners, address real-world engineering challenges, and implement highly applicable research outcomes. It also serves as an ideal environment for training high-quality human resources, equipping students and researchers with the skills required in a rapidly evolving industry. 

The establishment of AMAST Lab contributes to bridging the gap between research and practice, while opening up new opportunities for both domestic and international collaboration.
